RA is fun. Yes, it drags a lot when you get in the umpteenth group that has no monks, and the other team has 3. But as long as you roll a good build and keep a head on your shoulders, the random element is quite enjoyable. Sure, you have your nubs with their retarded builds, but that makes it all the more fun to lay down the smackdown.

Why is everyone complaining about Dishonorable hex in RA? I thought it was a problem too, so looked for a solution.
In short, what I do now when team is horrid (read: Mending user, tanker, 55hp monk) is = suicide. I type /resign, then run up to enemy team and let them kill me fast.
The only problem is when someone in my team refuses to die fast (read: all-defense build, non monk), and I have to watch the match... sigh. Well it's not that I watch the match, I open browser.

While I do had my share of bad RA matches, the good deal of it were with good players, or at least player trying to play good.
I think with the dishonor thing people started to play better. The builds may not be the supposed perfect ones but the players do try to win.

- That's what I do too and all in its irony it's idiotic that when team mate brings resurrection signet, it's just to prolong the inevidable death. I'm just wishing I never had a team like that. So the problem was people who quit parties before defeat. Is this really any better that we deliberately try to lose as fast as possible when team obviously isn't capable of winning? Knock knock, anyone there ANET?
Nothing wrong with randomness if it was at least reasonable, like no less than 1 healer and no more than 2 healers per party. It just doesn't work like this when you either have to play Monk (and play it well) or have no hope to get past the first match unless the other team is even more sadder noobs than yours. I'm seriously asking why does Random Arenas even exist in the game. Entry level PvP, sure, but what does it teach to those aspiring Warriors and Dervishes and Elementalists when playing their usual role in PvP doesn't mean success? Here we have the notorious Warriors with healing skills, enchant stacking Dervishes and Earth Elementalists with 2-4 armor buffs and self-heals just to stay alive in the absence of Monks.
I think this could be fixed by allowing players to select if they want their characters to occupy healer role when they enter Random Arena battle:
"Is your character's primary purpose to heal or protect others?"
- When player chooses yes, there would be serverside "just in case" check to see how many skills slots are from Divine Favor, Protection Prayers, Healing Prayers and Restoration Magic. If certain number is met, the player is agreed to be a "healer". On every match the server would assign one "healer" character to team with random 3 others. Players could voluntarily override this selection if they didn't care about not being partied with healer.
Something like that needs to be done. Self-healing capabilities of professions can never answer to ridiculous pressure melee characters can put on party.

It's explained in the part you cut of the quote, here:
... now I never feel I am losing my time even if I know I will lose the fight.
And I can add: Because even if I lose I still get points for get a key that open Zaizhen chest. In the past a lose was a total lose, because I have all unlocked.

That is now, because in the past I just leaved every no monk team immediately (Gladiator 4 here, all in RA)
Ah!! almost forgot to say: You can lose even with the best of monks in your team.

RA pwns. I don't even bother bringing rez (teams arent organized anyways) and I just have fun destroying the enemies team. It gets fun when all ur allies are dead and ur in a 2:1 / 3:1/ 4:1 situation, where u have to micro and use ur skills to win a really hard match.

Don't think I don't like to win, I do. But winning is better when you win a different way every time, at least for me.

So by inserting the word 'truly', you're saying if you said 'I love RA', then you would actually mean 'I hate RA', and in order to make sure we knew what you meant, you had to insert 'truly' and make your sentence 'I truly love RA', because if you had said 'I love RA' and meant it, then your sentence would have a meaningless, redundant adverb with no function whatsoever except to dress up your post with frivolous rhetoric, right?
